Cycling Advocates Ride to Pro Walk Pro Bike 2006

from Vancouver B.C. to Madison, Wisconsin

It was another early morning climb out of Sioux Falls along I90. WE stopped and the info booth at the Minnesota border and picked up a map. We then discovered it is illegal to cycle on the freeways in Minnesota, so we had to stop and re-map our route. We followed #4. It was a lot longer, but it was quiet. It had no shoulder so I was nervous about cars. That was the only reason we preferred I90. At least we had our own space. It was a pleasant trip through all the little towns. The last 25 km was really tough for me, battled a SE wind. We walked downtown after and discovered a Mexican restaurant. There were a lot of Mexican people downtown Worthington. A lot of them were cycling around on the sidewalks.
