| Another cool start at 8 AM. We stopped at a
little roadside stand. It was the site where they had filmed “ Harry
& The Hendersons”. The road had pretty good shoulders except when
we had to cross bridges. Skykomish is under reconstruction. BNR had polluted
the river so they had to move several houses and dig a trench to contain
the oil. The trains run constantly thru town, blowing there whistles all
night. We had a nice supper at the only restaurant in town. Then listened
to an impromptu bluegrass band . They were great! Next day…… the pass! And a long day too. |
