Gillette to Sundance
We had a nice run in the morning, until I got another flat. A couple
of drivers stopped to tell Jack that I was fixing a flat. Jack road back
so I could use his pump, which is a lot better than mine. The rest of
the trip was mostly uphill. We also ran in to a strong headwind for the
last couple of hours. By the snow fences along the road, you figure they
must get a lot of wind. We checked in about 4PM and strolled the main
street. They were having a weekend western celebration, including a western
shootout contest. It was loud!! Again, we were able to find a nice local
mexican food restaurant. Even had Soppapillas for dessert. Sundance is
only about 1000 people, but they had five or six bars, which welcomed
bikers from the Sturgis festival.
