| We hit the road just after 8 AM. It was cool and great for cycling. I didn’t really want to ride on I5, so we followed some rural roads. We had to cross to the other side of I5 to continue on the side road. We were held up by a lot of road construction. We had planned to take a secondary road to Hwy#2 but it was closed. We had to ride east over a very steep ridge to hwy#9. Hwy 9 had a wide shoulder, but the traffic was very heavy. We then took #2 to Monroe. Hwy 2 was also very heavy with traffic. We got to Monroe at 3:30 PM. | |||
