Cycling Advocates Ride to Pro Walk Pro Bike 2006

from Vancouver B.C. to Madison, Wisconsin

Started the day by repairing a flat on the rear tire….another small piece of wire… damn steel- belted retread car tire debris! It was a nice cool morning and we made good time for the first 30km. Lots of prairie dogs digging beside the road, and nice scenic vistas of the valleys. We then had a long climb and a downhill run to Columbus for lunch at Subway. About 5 miles out of Laurel, I picked up a front tire flat…another piece of wire. Now we check for wires in our tires every time we stop. I pumped the tire up several times so I could find some shade in Laurel to change the tube. All in all it was a good days ride.
