Thoughts for the Day

On a sunny day as today, it was time to walk some residential areas and visit Volunteer Park with its conservatory and its Asian Museum. The later was closed for renovation.

From the motel, the road went up steeply for a long time, for a 100 metres climb. A cyclist was enjoying the downward glide. So, was a skateboarder. Another cyclist on a BMX bike was using a wide sidewalk for the glide. I wondered if she had brakes on her bike. The foot came off the pedal far in advance of the signalized intersection.

Up on Capital Hill, we came upon Broadway, a gentrified shopping area with plenty of interesting restaurants.

The houses were reminiscent of a place where rich people lived. Do not now if that is still so or if these houses now are multi-unit ones.

The view from top of the hill is quite spectacular on a sunny, cloudless day, no matter the direction one looks.
