Thoughts
for the Day
Looking out from the Motel on to
Upper Mud Lake |
| |
A peaceful view from the room, although the
sounds of cars speeding on the major expressway through town are background
noises. During the day time kayak training occurs here. Eskimo rolls are
attempted.
| |
This little inlet is part of the river connection
between two lakes.
| |
While peaceful view onto this, adjacent are
located semi-big box stores.
Ducks in the River |
A walk to a clothing store and then a stop in
a nearby sushi restaurant (verdict – quite good with a pleasant Chinese
server who is finishing studying high school here in this city.). Some more
looking and grocery shopping made up the day. Evening rains prevented a
ride tonight. |
Well, needed some time to get some time-sensitive
messages out.
| |
No cycling today. Will do some tomorrow as Madison
is explored.
| |
A request to the motel manager and a fridge
and microwave unit appeared. Will make shopping much easier.

Cycling into Milwaukee |
| |
Cycling into Milwaukee really started in Dodgeville
some 200 kilometres to the west. From there, most of the trip was on bike
trails with occasional sections on roads. Many of these roads had a low
volume of motorized vehicle traffic. Some had paved shoulders. Others did
not. Some of the trails were interconnected. Others were not and required
some road cycling.
| |
Today, the trip included the Capital City State
Trail and the Isthmus State Trail.
